Starry Night Cafe, located between Middlebury and Burlington, is looking for a reliable and dedicated individual to add to our team as the Front of House Manager! This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including opening and closing the restaurant, handling reservations, and overseeing the FOH staff. Position Specifics:

Title: Front of House Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Starting salary: $55,000

Schedule: Full-Time, Wednesday - Sunday (we do our last seating at 8pm so no super late nights!)

Daily Responsibilities Include:

o Ensuring immaculate customer service

o Over-seeing FOH staff and operations

o Handling voicemails and reservation inquiries

o Setting up the dining room and arranging / laying out tables

o Handling customer inquiries, complaints, & special requests

o Coordinating dining room service

-Assist in hiring, training and scheduling FOH staff members

-Assist where needed during the shift whether that be at the host station, bussing tables, running food, taking food and

beverage orders

o Collaborate with General Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination with FOH and BOH

Our ideal candidate will have:

-1-2 years previous management experience preferred

-3-5 years previous restaurant experience required

-Positive attitude

-Passionate about local food

-Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

-Leadership and decision-making skills

-Organizational and planning skills

-Professional and proficient customer service

-Work nights and weekends

This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can showcase your hospitality expertise while leading a team to provide exceptional dining experiences. Although previous experience in a leadership role is desired, we are definitely willing to train the right fit for our wonderful restaurant.
